Savoury of Crete, is an low growing, bushy, evergreen perennial in the mint family. It can grow up to 50cm tall in favourable conditions. It is native to the Mediterranean region, and is mostly dominant on the island of Crete. This plant has a large pink flowers, and is highly aromatic and spicy. It is related to thyme, and is used in cooking in the same ways, and is often called “thyme leafed Savoury”. This plant prefers full sun in sandy, well drained soil.
