Eucalyptus “Vintage Red”, Black Leaf Eucalyptus
Vintage Red Eucalyptus is a new breed of Eucalyptus with beautiful deep red foliage. It’s a great landscape tree and also a great garden feature. The foliage colour it bears is a deep red-wine colour maturing to dark purple and grey tones, which appear almost black.
Eucalyptus Vintage Red produces rich dark red stems that are also almost black, then peeling to reveal smooth grey bark. Reacts very well to pruning, which helps it produce denser foliage making it usable as a shrub or screen. Grafted to grow to a maximun height of 6-8 meters. To use in screening, prune height back by one third each year once the trees are 3-4 years old.
