Tahitian Limes are the most popular lime tree, for a host of reasons. They’re thornless, unlike other lime varieties, and the fruit is a good size with no seeds. Limes are fantastic to have handy for cooking and making refreshing drinks.
Tahitian Lime trees are compact citrus trees, only growing to a height of 3 meters, making them the ideal citrus for small gardens, courtyards or even grown in pots! They prefer a full sun position in a well-drained loamy soil and will tolerate mild frosts. Citrus are considered heavy feeders so, to produce lots of delicious fruit, water and fertilise well in the fruiting season.
This Lime tree is in an espaliered form, an ancient method of training trees to grow against vertical surfaces such as walls, fences, or wires between wooden posts.
