Camellia “Yuletide” is an evergreen shrub with dense, glossy green leaves. It has bright red flowers with yellow stamens, and can get to 4m tall. In Australia this variety of camellia flowers from March to July, but in the northern hemisphere it flowers in the Christmas season, hence it’s name.
It prefers a sunny to part shade position in rich well drained soil. Water regularly in warmer months. Camellias are perfect for hedging, or as a feature plant. Fertilise and prune lightly in Spring.
