Bergenia cordifolia (syn. Megasea cordifolia) Pigsqueak or Elephant’s Ears
A pretty shade loving perennial that grows in a clumping manner. It has large, round, heart-shaped, dark green leaves that are tinted bronze in the cooler months. Pink-flushed white flowers with reddish-pink sepals flowers arise from late winter to early spring. Can be used as a groundcover, but in a sheltered shady position with well drained soil.
