Green Globe Artichoke has bold, deeply lobed silvery-green foliage that grow in a giant rosette that can reach 4 feet in height. The fleshy flower buds 2 to 5 inches in diameter borne on a tall stem from the center of the plant are the edible portion. Likes both full sunlight and partial shade. Tolerant of light frost. Harvest buds while they are still tightly closed.
